Harold Rogers – CEO

Harold Rogers is the Founder and CEO of Rogers & Sons, Inc. He began his sheet metal career in Oklahoma in 1949 and fully entered the profession by 1952. Completing a four-year program in just nine months, he spent the remainder of his apprenticeship in advanced studies. In 1955, Mr. Rogers received the prestigious “Outstanding Apprentice” award, which was presented at a National Convention. After completing his training, he was invited by the Tulsa, Oklahoma, Public Schools' Adult Education Department to teach HVAC courses, a role he held until 1962.

For ten years, Mr. Rogers worked under a Purdue graduate engineer, which played a critical role in shaping his long-term business experience. In 1962, he relocated to Colorado, where he owned and operated Tri-County Heating, Inc., later renamed Tri-County Mechanical Systems, Inc., to reflect its expanded services. The company was sold in May 1978, and Rogers & Sons, Inc. was founded in June of the same year.

In addition to managing the company, Mr. Rogers oversees estimating, design, and construction supervision for buildings and systems. He collaborates closely with architects, engineers, building officials, health and hospital organizations, and licensing agencies, working on designs for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sheet metal, plumbing, and building construction projects.

Mr. Rogers holds multiple licenses in heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and steam/hot water systems across various jurisdictions. He also taught journeyman code classes for the Sheet Metal Contractors Coalition (SMCC) from 1990 to 1992 and held seminars across Colorado from 1990 to 1994 for contractors, inspectors, and HVACR suppliers. Mr. Rogers is a past Technical Code Director Chairman for SMCC, past president of both SMCC and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA). He has served on numerous SMACNA committees and earned national recognition for his role in establishing the Better Heating and Cooling Bureau through SMACNA’s Residential Committee.
