Again many thanks for the responsiveness of you and your staff...not the norm these days. I've already recommended your company to a friend thinking about an HVAC upgrade, and won't hesitate to do so again.
Thank you very much for prioritizing Larry's time today for our job; he's just left. We greatly appreciate his knowledge, patience and focus. As you may already know, the noise I heard seems to have been related to the utility gas supply pressure leading to unsuccessful start-up sequences (which also explained the faint gas smell). Larry increased our regulator setting as a preventive measure. He also fixed (and tested) the condensate pump/tubing system, and installed the outdoor temperature sensor and programmed the set points.
Thank you for your encouraging note this morning. It seems like a long time ago, last Tuesday, since we had hot water and heat. Thanks to the generosity of neighbors and friends our family has worked through his inconvenience pretty well.
I also appreciative how you patiently spent time educating me on my system, how quickly you rallied your staff to get the new system up and running, and how from the beginning you empathized with our Situation. On all counts, that was the right service at the right time .Rare in any field of business these days.
You may not remember me Harold but I met you through George Stracy way back in 1985 when we added an addition to our house in the foothills, in Mount Vernon Country Club. We have relied on Rogers and Sons ever since, most recently when we added another addition last year and you installed the radiant heat. Yes, George was the architect. Before that it was a frozen pipe and before that air conditioning to Missy’s flower shop, before that … you get the idea. I have referred people to you over the years too.
Recently we bought a small condo in Cherry Creek. Our air conditioning was not cooling adequately. I happened to ride up the elevator with a contractor doing work in the building (Mountain Breeze) and they offered to look at our system. They concluded that the fan coil unit was not a matched to the condenser and needed to be replaced at a bid price of $4,000. Naturally I called Rogers and Sons.
I called and made an appointment with Steve Miller. He inspected the system and made some calls after which he told me that the fan coil/condenser are matched properly and he wouldn’t recommend that we make any major changes. He did, however, recommend using a different type of air filter and he made changes to several vents, the result of which has improved the system. Steve was professional and very knowledgeable. He didn’t charge me for the inspection and wouldn’t even accept a small gratuity, saying my future business is the only payment he wanted. Being a small business employer, I know how valuable and hard to find good employees are. I wanted to let you know.
I want you to know we elected to have your company do the work because we’ve been impressed with you and the people with whom we had been dealing: Sue, whom we have called the several times we needed help, is very courteous but business-like, very efficient and an excellent representative for your company. Similarly, we appreciate and have great confidence in Larry who came to our rescue – we’re very sorry to have learned of his accident, both for his sake and for ours. And Steve, clearly, is quite knowledgeable, resourceful and dependable.
For years, I have been a businessman; moreover I grew up in a family and among relatives of successful business people. You run your business like those in the past who built this country. Tending so well your business, you probably haven’t had to deal with so much of the mediocrity out there today.
I know how difficult it can be to operate and manage a company. Often employees don’t appreciate what it takes to keep a business afloat. Our latest experience has caused me to reflect again on this issue. And I have begun to wonder if ever you have given consideration to having someone go about the field and check on employee performance. It’s remarkable how much I was able to observe from my second story, front of the house office. Without delving into details, perhaps the job could have been finished more quickly. Nevertheless, please understand we are grateful and feel fortunate your company was identified for us by the manufacture of the boiler.
